I had a conversation with someone recently and they wanted to double the effectiveness of their sales team. But guess what?

They don’t have a sales coaching or training mechanism in the organization.

The closest thing they have is a person that conducts a group training session twice per year in a class room setting of 40 people and three to five of their competitors are also in there.

Do you realize how crazy that sounds? Let’s break it down…
You want your reps to drink from the same knowledge hose as your competition in a group setting, and you do not invest in 1:1 sales coaching and training with your reps to give them a competitive advantage over your competition, and you expect them to magically double their effectiveness from converting 10% of the daily 150+ leads to converting 20% with zero upskilling?

Yeah, it’s that bad out here people. This is why there’s a 35% turnover rate in sales. So sales reps, this is your evidence that it’s not always your fault. Sometimes sales leaders don’t have brains at all.
